 be Rescheduled
DESCRIPTION:\n\nThe Poppy is a popular\, stunning flower worldwide\, and a 
 delight to paint. This workshop teaches a Sumi-e ink art or Chinese brush 
 painting technique used to paint Poppies. In this workshop you’ll learn 
 the simple brush techniques demonstrated by instructor. Students will have
  a 1-hour lunch break and will receive individual attention adapted to the
 ir skill level and interests.\n\nSupplies Needed\nThe Instructor will shar
 e her brushes\, Chinese Marie’s watercolor\, rice paper\, ink\, with her
  students.\n\n 	Painting mats or felt:\nmaterial to place under your rice 
 paper to prevent the excess moisture from forming a stain on the painting 
 when working available at any fabric store.\n 	Two paper weights:\nStones\
 , small books\, or specially designed weights to help keep the rice paper 
 flat and prevent it from curling while you work.\n 	A water container\n 	P
 allets or 2-3 used dishes\n 	A roll of Paper towel\n\nAlso Bring whatever 
 you have may can use as colors\, brushes\, rice paper…\nAbout the Instru
 ctor\n Peihong graduated from Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1993. From 
 1990-1999 She served as an art editor for the Beijing Review\, a national 
 weekly magazine. Her artwork has been exhibited internationally in China\,
  South Korea\, Singapore\, and Tokyo\, as well as stateside in California 
 and throughout Texas. Her artwork has also been included in several group 
 exhibitions\, art books\, prestigious collections. Peihong painting titled
  Fragrant Moonlit was presented by the Chinese government to the French go
 vernment. Peihong moved to United States in 1999. Since 2002\, She Taught 
 Various Classes and Workshops of Chinese ink art at Museum Fine Arts of Ho
 uston\, Glassell School\, The Jung Center\, Watercolor Art Society of Hous
 ton\, West University Rec. Center\, Houston Arboretum Nature Center\, MD A
