Are you ready to learn or practice techniques with indirect and direct styles of painting with an experienced art instructor and juried show judge, David Wheeler. David will teach color theory and the use of color. Students will paint a landscape using a limited pallet.
David has been painting since childhood, working in his favorite medium, oils. He continuously refines his skills with private lessons and by participating in painting workshops as an artist. He travels to Italy and France to paint. David has a variety of interests, which are reflected in his work.
He has shown in several galleries in Houston, and currently shows at the Galveston Art League and Rivers Edge Gallery in Kerrville.
David currently teaches both beginning and advanced oil painting at College of the Mainland, Lifelong Learning Program and at Galveston College in the continuing education department.
