Participants will construct a traditional Japanese fish cart lantern by building a bamboo frame over a wooden cart with wheels, stretching paper over the frame, and painting it to look like a sea beam fish with moveable fins. A light is placed inside which turns this delightful toy cart into a lantern which the participant keeps.
