Matt Logmann resides in Nassau Bay. He has been a photographer for forty-eight years. From darkroom to digital he has always enjoyed creating images that relate to his ideas of form and message. He sees art as a form of communication and tries to make his communication as clear and precise as possible while still arousing imagination. He is always interested in looking at images of masters–professionals and amateurs alike–in order to learn and expand his range of understanding technique. He believes any situation can offer a photo statement, but he loves simplicities. He makes his own prints in order to maintain control.
Matt has been a member of the Galveston Art League for about five years and has won a number of awards in their juried shows. In the last few years, he has won Best of Show and two first places in photography at the Texas City Art Festival.
