Marsha Krohn has been a member of Galveston Art League for more than 20 years. For much of that time she created and showed at the league’s gallery her mixed media sculptural figures, often referred to as art dolls. In 2020 Covid put a stop to her figure-making. She experimented with other art forms. Then, a little over a year ago, it came time for her to downsize and she knew she would no longer have room to keep her collection of these figures she had built over the years. Marsha donated her collection to Galveston Art League in hopes of helping the organization she had been part of for so many years. November’s Special Exhibit consists of 20 of these donated figures, with 100% of sales proceeds benefitting the Galveston Art League.
