For decades, Steve Jones has been happily clicking away on cameras ever since his prized (and pricey) first SLR entered his life at 18. Photography has always been a creative outlet for him. What started as just pointing and shooting has somehow led to contributing images to the Galveston Art League’s member and juried shows and even rambling along the back roads to New Braunfels for shows there. While he’s traveled extensively with a camera in hand, he’s also enjoyed participating in Galveston Island Market, Dickens On the Strand, and some other festivals. He’s still amazed by what digital tech and AI can do, and he’s constantly learning, proving that old dogs can learn new tricks. The fact that he’s actually sold some pieces and even snagged a few ribbons has been just icing on the cake! He feels that his hobby has gotten a little out of hand by being featured at the Galveston Art League this month, but he’s grateful for the chance to share some of his images with everyone.
