Artist Susan Ouren Pinkerton has called Houston, TX her home for decades. She graduated from University of Houston, CLC with degrees in Biology and Chemistry
which led her into to those fields as a profession. Yet, she always had one foot in the artistic world studying and appreciating works of art. Eventually, she split from her left brained world and became a partner in a gallery in Houston. Buying and selling art became a passion, yet not a living. This time gave way to exploration and study of her abilities to create. She appreciates all the fine teachers along the way that continue to inspire and encourage her pursuits. Currently Susan is focusing on  painting with the ever-challenging watercolor but has painted in oils and pastels. She is an award-winning member of the Galveston Art League, a Signature Member of the National Society of Artists, member of Watercolor Society of Houston, Art League of Baytown, Bay Area Plein Air Painting and OPS.
